My New Quilt

A few months ago when my Grandma came to visit we went to walmart and Grandma saw me admiring a horse fabric. I really wanted mom to help me make a quilt if I bought it. When I was not looking she bought it for me. When she got back to Florida she made it for me. The new quiltI am so thankful for a grandma who cares about me.

Biz E. B. Bakery

Dad wanted me and Brenna to learn how to make a cakes so we could make money when we are teenagers. Brenna and I gladly agreed; we thought it would be fun. Last week Mom and Dad finished their weight loss contest, Dad won. He wanted us to make 2 cakes; a winners cake and a losers cake. The winners cake was supposed to have a medal on it. The losers cake was supposed to be white with black spots like a cow.
Mom and some videos from the computer helped us a lot.

Here is how we made it. First we had to crumb cote the cake, next make the fondant, then cover the cake, last but not least decorate it.

I think it turned out great.

BirthdaysandGrammy

For Joshua's Birthday Grammy was able to be here. Joshua got lots of presents and Grammy took him shopping for a suit. Josh wanted key lime pie and a cookie cake but both of them didn't turn out right.

The first day we went to the island and had a picnic.

Grammy taught me some embroidery stiches:the couching stich, french knot, and a few more.

Grammy and Josh made pates. They turned out great.

Grammy and Brenna went to the valley together. Grammy also took Brenna shopping for her birthday because Brenna's birthday was the week after Joshua's birthday.
We had a great time with Grammy and Mark.

It was fun!

Callie is so cute! She is 1 month old and a couple of days. I love her.

So far we went to fleur de lys, the mall with the roller coster [ which I do not like roller costers, ] went to Burger King, went to the walking park, and much more; but there is so much more we want to do. When we went to the mall some teenagers gave us some tickits which will last 2 years. We have had so much fun i hope it goes by slowly.

Catching up

We now have a baby sister, she was born May 5, 2010 1:20 am. We named her Callie Grace. She was my Mom's smallest baby 7 pounds 8 ounces. We thank the Lord for her every day. At first Silas was a little jealous, but I think he is starting to like her.

Praise the Lord Grammy finally sold her house and bought a new one. She is getting settled in it, but hasn't gotten the main furnishings. Thank the Lord we have a new sister and Grammy sold her house.

Me and Brenna have been playing with our dollhouse a lot lately. We decided to make a fabric store. So we took some of Mom's scraps of fabric and cut it in to tiny pices. Then we wrapped them up and taped them. We used our bookcase to put the fabric store in. On the walls Brenna hung some curtains. Then we set up the measuring table.
Later we put the playmobile people in it and set it up. We had so much fun!

Having Breakfast for Dinner

Last night for Dinner we had breakfast. Grandma got me and Brenna 2 American girl cookbooks Kit's and Felicity's. Dad said he wanted a colonial breakfast for dinner so we made that for dinner. I for one don't like breakfast and especially for dinner ; but amazingly it was good! I also helped Mom cook the meal. The first thing we made was apple butter. We had to put apple cider in a pot and boil it. Then, chop the apples, put it in the pot, wait a bit, then put the spices in it, and wait some more.

We also had Johnny cakes.

Here is the ham with gravy. We first fried the ham, and made the gravy.

This is the gravy. We also had Dressed eggs.

We also made breakfast puffs.

Here is the finished products. You could either put the Apple Butter on the Johnny cakes and Breakfast puffs, or leave it off. Everything was good, except for the eggs. I can't wait to have it again.

More french and Silas

Me, Joshua and Brenna prayed for a baby brother. When we heard Mom was going to have a baby we were so excited. When we have a baby we don't know if its going to be a girl or a boy its a surprise. When, Silas was born we were so glad it was a boy. We thought he was the cutest baby in the world. Now, looking back we think he is even cuter. Silas likes to vaccum it has become his chore, we don't make him vaccum he just likes to.
Silas likes to draw and color. He also, likes to play the piano.

Dad and Mom wanted to get a library card so they can get french books. They also wanted to let us kids pick out some children french books. We then read and translated the books into English, the next day we read the book to Silas. On, the third day we tell the story to everyone and start the process all over again. Brenna picked out a book about a child getting ready for bed.

Joshua picked a book about a girl and her turtle.

I picked a book about a squirrel and its journey during the day.

We had fun and today we picked out some more books. Please pray that we learn french quickly.

Learning French and about St. Barths

We are learning French because in St. Barths the people speak french. We're going there so we can witness to them. Mom and Dad have classes at Madame Claire Plante's house and me, Josh, and Brenna have classes every Wednesday night with Madame Roy. Learning french is very hard and one of my Dad's favorite jokes is he thinks that in heaven we'll be speaking french because it takes an eternity to learn!

St. Barths is in the West Indies. It is a very small island and is a volcanic rock. We will have to eat mostly fish and maybe some snails which is Escargot. I do not really like fish, but if it's fried I like it! And some other recipes I like too. For breakfast we will be mostly eating french bread. And for breakfast and dessert we will be eating Chocolate Croissants. When my Mom and Dad went to St. Barths a couple of times they got a can of coke and cheetos at people's houses. I like that part!
